"Coming Soon" is a song produced by British band Queen with Reinhold Mack, for the album 'The Game'. Credited to Roger Taylor, it is the penultimate track on the album in chronological order. Mercury and Taylor share lead vocals.
Background
During the album sessions, Roger was the band member who was most enthusiastic about finding a new sound.
| “ | "...Roger wasn't particularly satisfied with his previous songwriting. I think he finally found a new style different from his songs on previous albums, but he didn't know how to improve on it." | ” |

With this in mind and Mack's guidance, Roger wrote three songs for ‘The Game’, including ‘Coming Soon’.
| “ | “Yeah, 'Coming Soon' is all about the rhythm and the hook line. It’s all about big, fat, rhythmic sounds on that one, and it reflects where I’m able to channel that kind of approach into my writing.” | ” |

Production
Originally, intended to be the B-side of 'Play the Game', while 'A Human Body' was going to be on the album, but Mercury and May argued that its inclusion would make the album too melodic; therefore, the roles of the two songs were reversed.[2]
Alternative Version 2003
During the album's remastering in Dolby 5.1, sound engineers: Kris Fredriksson and Justin Shirley-Smith realized that a tape from the song's final mix had been lost. The missing tape was Roger's backing vocals at the beginning of the track. Because of this, they had to use recordings from another session to replace it; something Roger agreed to. [4][5]
